First, the new panel is placed against the auto body. Then, it is locked in place with a set of metal clamps. After this, the new panel is welded into the auto body at all of the factory seam points. Welding blankets are used to protect the interior of the car from flying sparks. When the welding is complete, the seam is caulked so that water doesn’t get into the trunk or the backseat. After priming and painting, the car panels will be ready to go.
